View the status of a running workflow instance - (page 4 of 7)

Level: intermediate
Required reading: Simple workflow

An individual workflow instance's status can be viewed. This is done by selecting "View status" from the context menu in the list of instances.

This view shows the status of individual activities. It allows administrators to diagnose problems in running workflows, or identify the step(s) which are stalling a workflow. Tooltips are used to show more details about the activities.

Activities are colour coded:
  Black, activity has been finished successfully;
  Green, activity has been started but is not yet finished, could be waiting for an external system, or waiting on a user response;
  Red, activity has been terminated, or failed to execute;
  Blue, activity has not yet started.
In addition, transitions which are green and bold show that the transition has been followed.
