Ant Workflow toolkit enables the functionality of the Ant Workflow Studio to be extended and reused.

By exposing APIs through .NET classes and interfaces, the toolkit allows for seamless integration of workflow into bespoke applications, and also of third-party systems into the workflow. Web services are a fundamental part of the workflow engine, enabling more rapid integration of systems, cross-platform and Java support, and distribution of actions to remote servers.

Ant Workflow toolkit provides:

		An extension API for building new actions and task types as .NET classes.
		User interface controls that may be used to build workflow into bespoke applications.
		An activation API that enables applications to initiate and manage workflow instances.
		A response API allowing third-party applications to post responses to asynchronous actions.

Ant Workflow toolkit integrates with Ant Hierarchy for storage, Ant Security for security, and Ant Content Entry for defining and editing content.
