Action: Edit case

Action to ask the user to alter a portion of the workflow case
Path: Root\Workflow\Tasks
This action adds a new task to a user or group task list. That action allows the user/group to alter the specified fields of the case. The workflow engine pauses this thread until the user submits the edited case in the task engine.

Common uses

Allow user to view and alter edit Allows the a user or group access to the case and lets them alter it
Request routing information from the user Ask the user to fill in a field of the case that is to be used by a branch later on.

Properties

Aim Specifies the aim of the task, this is displayed in the task list. This field is specified in the scripting language which allows information from the case to be extracted and displayed.
Description Specifies the description of the task. This field is specified in the scripting which allows information from the case to be extracted and displayed.
Filter Allows the workflow designer to specify which fields are edited. The designer of the workflow can either specify which fields are included (recommended for sensitive information where the case definition is still being altered), or specify which fields are not to be edited (used when only a couple of fields contain sensitive information).
